This day our head teacher asked us to introduce our Comenius project to all staff of Brúarskóli. We on Dalbraut are but one of the four Departments of Brúarskóli. Once a month we have a meeting with all staff about 40 colleagues and often share experiences or spent time on professional development. We told our colleagues about our website, the different blogs, school-blog, theme-blog and event-blog. We told them all about our visits to London, Dublin and Krakow, and our guests from London and Krakow. Our colleagues were very interested and maybe a little envious of our school-visits. When a week later we had our annual staff party in Hollywood style, we got recommended for the Oscar of good school practice, but the prize went to another team of colleagues. We were happy with that. The group who got the Oscar for best school practice entertained al of us at Christmas and really deserved an Oscar.:) In the end we showed the video's of Mr. Twig and the video's our students made with Fred and Shaun.They were well received. Our colleagues encouraged by the environmental committee of the school have developed their own green footsteps, as you can see on the school website.
