News & Views

The post-primary students in Dublin had a go at the News & Views activity we learned about at the Science Museum. We looked at a topic from the Science museum's Antenna website. The topic was a new substance which can be used for wiring electronics. This substance is made from recycled carbon drawn from greenhouse gases.

This activity was very successful in engaging the students who quickly began to discuss the topic. They felt empowered to begin to form opinions and debate the pros and cons of the topic.

As a class we were very happy with the activity and attacked another topic a few days later. This time it was echolocation technology helping visually impaired cyclists.
