When Franca and me were in Poland, last week, my colleagues in hospital
received a big package: they opened it and felt like plunging in a swimming
pool made of felt tips and colours.
This was the generous present from our sponsor STABILO
which sent all we need to make our biggreen cartoon.
So our artist Vincenzo, accompanied by Paola and Roberta, of the Museum of Cinema, could start to run his workshops on Thursdays: we are all involved, teachers and pupils, we share ideas, we discover unexspected talents, we have lot of fun together.
It's exciting for us teachers to be pupils again and to learn something new!
The idea is to create a cartoon on environmental issues in which everyone builds his/her own scene, with tecnique of the "loop".
So, firstly we draw our project on paper, then - if Vincenzo approves it - we copy it on a film and then colour it. At the end we have to find a title which fits with the content of the scene.
Seems easy but, I can assure, it is not. I tried to do something myself becouse I felt I had wonderful ideas in my mind. But then I realized how is difficult to translate them on the paper: the result was a childish scrawl. Teachers are the worst among Vincenzo's pupils!
